When he was 2 weeks old a baby boy was left in a hotel room in downtown Minneapolis. A note was left with him which read: “Please find a home for my baby boy. My husband is dead and I am unable to work at present with 4 children to support…. (signed) His broken-hearted mother…”
The baby boy was adopted by a Swedish immigrant couple and named Carl Gunnar Brodin. I am one of his daughters. I live in Eden Prairie MN; am 57 years old; married; have 2 sons who remind me of my father in so many ways…
For several years now I’ve been attempting to find any information I can about my dad’s birth family. We think of it as our family’s own personal history mystery. Even tho 84 years have gone by since he was born, I keep holding on to the hope that someday, somehow, we will find out who my dad’s birth family was.
If you believe you have information concerning the birth family of the baby who was left in a hotel room in Minneapolis in 1925 — Please do not hesitate to contact me at tild DOT dallelie AT gmail DOT com
